Dirty Devil Disposal — Last updated September 10, 2026
Dirty Devil Disposal ("we", "us") provides dumpster, porta-potty, and SWPPP services in Utah. This policy describes what information our customer portal and mobile app collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
Account information — your name, email address, phone number, username, and the company you work for. Accounts are created for you by our office; we do not offer public sign-up.
Service information — your job-site projects and addresses, scheduled and completed services, work orders, invoices, and site-plan documents you or we upload.
Photos — photos our drivers take to document service (equipment placement, dump tickets, proof of service) and photos or documents you choose to upload.
Customer location — if you grant permission and voluntarily choose “use my current location”, we read one precise device position to place a dumpster pin where you are standing.
Driver location — if you are a driver and grant permission, the app collects repeated precise device-location points while you are clocked in and actively using the driver features. It also records precise locations at operational events such as clock-in, clock-out, lunch, and route-segment actions. These records are linked to your driver account and are used for live dispatch and route operations and for timecard and operational documentation. The app does not request Always location permission and is not designed to continue collecting location while fully backgrounded.
Notification token — if you allow notifications, your device is given an identifier by Apple that lets us send you alerts about your own services (scheduled, on the way, completed, delayed). It identifies the device, not you personally, and is used for nothing else.
Diagnostics — when something goes wrong in the app we collect error reports and app performance measurements (via Sentry) so we can find and fix the problem. These include your account identifier, so a report can be tied back to your session and we can see what you actually hit. They do not include your email address or your role, we do not record your screen, and web addresses are stripped of anything sensitive before they are sent.
How we use it
To schedule, perform, document, and bill the services you request.
To show you your projects, schedules, work orders, and service history in the portal.
To contact you about your service (including text messages about schedule changes).
To diagnose and fix problems in the app.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising.
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Address lookup
When you search for an address, or tap “use my current location”, the
text you type or the coordinates your device reports are sent to mapping
providers so we can turn them into a place on the map — Google (Maps and
Places) and OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim geocoding service. They receive the
address or coordinates only; they are not told who you are.
Sharing
Your information is shared only with the service providers that run our systems (hosting and database, error reporting, maps, and SMS delivery) and only as needed to operate the service. Billing records may be shared with your organization's authorized contacts.
Retention
Driver live-location points and timecard location events are automatically pruned by a weekly cleanup once they are more than 90 days old. Service and billing records are retained as required for business and tax records. Diagnostics are retained on a rolling short-term basis.
Your choices
You can decline the app's location and camera permissions; maps and photo upload features will be limited accordingly.
You can decline or later turn off notifications in iOS Settings; you will keep receiving service texts as before.
You can request corrections to your account information by contacting the office.
You can request deletion of your account from the app's Account screen, or — if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in — from our account deletion page. You can also simply contact us. We will confirm with you before removing access, and will retain only the records we are required to keep.
